What does a Portrait Photoshoot involve?

Here is a step-by-step of your Portrait Photoshoot Journey from our initial call to our your photoshoot. I’m with you every step of the way and always here for any questions or queries you may have.

  • When I’ve received your enquiry, I’ll send you an easy link to book into my calendar for our consultation call.

    It’s a chance to meet each other and for me to start learning about you and your work. We’ll also cover what to expect after our call, to help you feel prepared and excited for your session.

  • You can secure your booking by settling your deposit.

    Once this is received I’ll send over your Portrait Questionnaire. This helps me to understand your goals and ideas and helps to formulate the photoshoot plan which helps us to make the most out of your photoshoot.

    I’ll also send over a link to your inspiration board we will create together on Pinterest.

  • Photoshoot Plan:

    I’ll send over a Photoshoot Plan so you’ll know what location(s), outfits, timings etc so we can make the most of your portrait session.

    Preperation:

    Nervous before the session? I’ve got you! We will catch up around a week before the shoot to go over any last minute questions and queries, so that you have total peace of mind ahead of the session itself!

    I also send over some helpful relaxation tips and a handy checklist so you can have peace of mind before your photoshoot.

  • We’ll start slowly, usually going for a walk around our location, styling the first set-up, and checking outfits and props.

    I will gently direct you throughout the session, favouring a candid-style of photography. Before you know it the photos will have been taken and you’ll be all done!

  • Your images will be sent via we transfer link and will be ready between 2-6 weeks* of your session.

    *Dependent on my schedule and when you require the images.

  • All over the UK. I’m based in Manchester, but I love to travel for client shoots. I’m always up for photographing abroad, so email me for a custom quote.

  • This depends on the style, look and feel of your business. Typically bright and airy spaces look fantastic on camera, outdoors in nature or we can experiment with different lighting in a studio.

  • We can discuss this further when we’re planning your photoshoot so that your outfit matches the look and feel you would like for your photoshoot.

  • If you’ve got an idea for photoshoot, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

    Typically give around 8 weeks from when you book to your ideal date of receiving the photos.

    It’s important to give time for us to discuss & plan your photoshoot whilst also booking locations and gathering together props.

  • Absolutely, most of my clients feel nervous in front of the camera which is why I pride myself on creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere where you can be yourself!

  • This depends on my schedule and depends on when you need your photographs. We would discuss this in our planning meeting but it’s usually between 2-4 weeks.
