Whitstable Castle Wedding by the sea Jen & Michelle

Everybody say LOVE!

I had the pleasure of photographing two wonderful women, Jen & Michelle. Their wedding day took place at the historic Whitstable Castle, set against the backdrop of beautiful rose gardens right next to Whitstable beach and the sea - stunning!

Jen & Michelle’s stunning Whitstable Castle Wedding

A glorious day full of love, laughter and fun! So many beautiful wedding day moments and memories that will last a lifetime!

Their special day was laid-back and relaxed just like them. Breaking tradition the brides saw each other before the ceremony which I think helped calm their nerves before saying their vows. It was mid afternoon when they walked into the Mallandain Room together with Jen’s Father walking them both down the aisle.

Afterwards guests enjoyed drinks in the beautiful rose gardens whilst I took the couple to have some photos of just to the two of them. We walked around the gardens on the West side of the castle, catching the light amongst the fragrant flowers, set against the historic castle.

Once we I had taken lots of lovely photographs of the happy couple, we returned to the rose garden for a well deserved drink, then I gathered their family and friends for some informal and formal group shots.

There was still a bit of time before food was served so I suggested going down by the sea for some sunset photographs. The photographs by the beach were gorgeous! It makes me so happy when couples and their guests are willing to get involved to get wonderful shots. It really is worth it; after all, it is your special day!

After capturing couple shots and fun group photos by the sea, we returned to Whitstable Castle and food was served. This was followed by the cutting of the cake, which was made by a member of Jen’s family. It was a simple design, with the same flowers featured in Jen and Michelle’s floral bouquets and it tasted absolutely stunning! Yes, I will not say no to cake!

After some emotional and very funny speeches the party really began. Queue the DJ playing some absolute 70’s, 80’s and 90’s bangers and everyone was up on the dance floor, dancing the night away!

I was honoured to be part of Jen & Michelle’s Wedding Day, I even joined the party once my work was done!
